Lauren Gardenbelle is an ecological artist and educator whose work currently investigates sustainable environments. Lauren focuses on using compostable materials and questions our role and accountability as makers to the environment and the materials we use. An advocate for sustainable living, Lauren lives full-time in a converted, solar-powered school bus. She parks on a farm in Frederick, Maryland and goes to the Maryland Institute College of Art for graduate studies in Studio Art. She received her BS in both Art Education and Art & Design from Towson University. She currently teaches art at South Carroll High School.
